Paak Racing Privacy Policy
This policy is for Paak Racing, our racing game for Android phones and iPhone. It explains what information the game uses, why, who else receives it, and the choices you have. Our company Privacy Policy covers our websites and the e-mails you send us; for Paak Racing, this policy applies where the two differ.

The short version
- You don't need an account, a name or an e-mail address to play, and races work without a connection.
- Your progress is saved on your phone. A copy is also kept with Unity Cloud Save, under a random player ID, so that a new phone can get it back.
- In online races and the rankings, other players see the racer name you choose, your car and your results.
- The game shows ads. You choose whether they may be personalised, and you can change your mind at any time.
- Purchases go through Google Play or the App Store. We never see your payment details.
- You can delete your account and its cloud copy in the game at any time.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Who we are
Paak Racing is made and published by Paaket Games, Accra, Ghana ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at info@paaket.com.
What the game uses
Your progress, on your phone. Your coins, cars, paints, best times, wins, racer name, settings and what your purchases unlocked are saved on your phone.
Your player account and cloud backup. So that a new phone can get your progress back, the game creates a player account with Unity Authentication. It has a random player ID: no name, e-mail address or password is needed. The game keeps a copy of your progress in Unity Cloud Save, with the model of the phone that saved it. If Google Play Games (on Android) or Game Center (on iPhone) signs you in, your player account is linked to that sign-in, so that the game can find your progress after a reinstall or on a new phone. Unity receives the identifier the sign-in gives, never a password.
Your own backup code. In Settings, Your own backup turns your progress into a line of text that you keep yourself. The game never sends it anywhere: you choose where it goes. It holds your coins, cars, paints, best times, wins and racer name, and the model of the phone that made it, but no account, no sign-in and nothing your purchases unlocked. The game also saves a copy in a file on your phone, which is removed when you uninstall the game. Anyone you give a code to can take over that progress, so keep it like a key.
Purchases. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store, and we never see your card, bank or mobile money details. The game keeps a record of each purchase with your progress (the store's transaction number, the product, the date and what it unlocked), so that it is delivered exactly once and can be restored.
Online races and rankings. Only if you use them. Other players see your racer name (you choose it in Settings; until you do, it is a made-up name such as "Racer4821"), your car and your results. The rankings keep your player ID, your racer name, your best time or distance on each road and the car you used. Online races connect you with other players through Unity's Lobby and Relay services, which see your IP address while you play. On iPhone, your best times and the achievements you earn also go to Game Center, which shows them to other players as your Game Center settings allow.
Ads. The game shows ads from Unity Ads, through Unity's LevelPlay ad service: videos you choose to watch for a reward, such as extra coins, and now and then a full-screen ad between races, never during an online race and never after you buy Paak Plus. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Unity may collect information from your phone, such as its advertising ID, IP address and device type, and how you interact with ads. Unity uses this information under its own privacy policy (unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy).
Technical information. The services above process technical information, such as your IP address and device type, so that they can work and stay secure. Google Play and the App Store may also give us crash reports and statistics about how the game runs, from players who agreed to share them with app developers.
Your ad choices
- When you first open the game, it asks whether ads may be picked to suit your interests. You can change your answer at any time in Settings, with the Personalised ads switch.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
- On iPhone, the game never asks to track you, so the ads there don't use your phone's advertising identifier.
- Paak Plus removes the ads between races.
Saying no never stops you playing: the ads you see may just be less relevant.
Services we rely on
- Unity Technologies: the player account, cloud backup, rankings and online races (Unity Authentication, Cloud Save, Leaderboards, Lobby and Relay), the ads (Unity Ads and LevelPlay), the purchase library and the engine the game is built with. Unity's privacy policy: unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy.
- Google: downloads, updates and payments (Google Play) and sign-in (Google Play Games) on Android. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Apple: downloads, updates and payments (the App Store) and sign-in, rankings and achievements (Game Center) on iPhone. Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.
These companies may process information in other countries, under their own safeguards. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
Why we use your information
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the law asks us to name a legal basis for each use. We rely on:
- providing the game you asked for (our Terms of Use): saving and backing up your progress, sign-in, online races, rankings and delivering purchases;
- our legitimate interests: keeping the game working, fair and secure, and helping you when you contact us;
- your consent: personalised ads, which you can turn off at any time as described above;
- legal obligations: where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
How long we keep information
- On your phone: until you erase it in the game or uninstall the game.
- Your player account and cloud copy: until you delete them.
- Your entries on the rankings: until you ask us to remove them, as described below.
- Purchase records: Google and Apple keep their own, under their own policies and the law.
- Your e-mails to us: for as long as we need them to help you and to answer any follow-up, and then deleted.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, correct it, delete it and receive a copy, to object to how it is used, and to withdraw your consent.
- Delete your account in the game: Settings, Account, Delete account. Your player account and its cloud copy are deleted straight away, and you can also erase the progress on your phone. Our account deletion page gives all the steps, including how to ask us if you no longer have the game.
- Anything else, such as a copy of your data, or removing your entries from the rankings: e-mail info@paaket.com with the player ID shown in Settings, under Account. We may need to check that the request comes from you before we act on it. We reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live. In Ghana, where we are based, that is the Data Protection Commission.
Children
Paak Racing is made for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age for consent in your country, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Please do not use a real name as your racer name. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make important changes, we will tell you in the game or on this page before they take effect.
